Scottish Dolphin Centre

The Scottish Dolphin Centre sits at the mouth of the River Spey in an area where the Moray Firth Dolphins are often spotted. As dolphins are wild animals, sightings can’t be guaranteed but it’s a great place for land based dolphin watching. This area is rich in wildlife. Seals, osprey and otters are also regulary seen in the area.

It’s also possible to tour the Tugnet Icehouse. This is the UK’s largest surviving icehouse and it was once used to store the salmon caught on the River Spey before being transported onwards.

There is also an interactive exhibition, cafe and gift shop.

The Scottish Dolphin Centre is situated on the coast near Fochabers. See the map below.

The Moray Firth is ideal for Dolphin Watching and you can find more information and map on the Dolphin Watching page.
